Whispers Of The Cove is my first Romance Book. It started just sitting down and writing and before I knew it I had several chapters completed. The book has been published on KPD Vella and if there is interest it will continue as a series as the story goes on. Embracing a New Chapter in Florida
Since I made the move to Florida, my life has taken a delightful turn. Not only have I settled into the warm climate and beautiful surroundings, but I've also found the time and inspiration to dive into writing. That's right, I’ve started working on two books, and I’m thrilled to share that my second book, Whispers of the Cove, has been published on KDP Vella. If all goes well and the story captures readers' hearts, I hope to continue it as a series!
Finding Inspiration in Dunedin
The captivating setting of my stories—Whispers of the Cove and Paradise Cove—is drawn from the real town of Dunedin, Florida. You see, I first visited Dunedin several years ago when a friend from my hometown in Buffalo, New York, retired and bought a lovely home there. I was primarily familiar with Florida through family trips to Orlando, and while I enjoyed those visits, nothing prepared me for the magic that Dunedin would bring.
This charming coastal town left a lasting impression on me. The moment I stepped into Dunedin, I felt as though I had finally found a place that resonated with my soul. The relaxed vibe, stunning waterfront views, and vibrant community made me feel at home. As a writer, being in a place that inspires creativity is invaluable, and Dunedin provided that in abundance.
A Unique Florida Experience
Unlike some of the more well-known tourist spots in Florida, Dunedin has a unique charm that distinguishes it from the rest. The blend of historical architecture, local boutiques, and friendly faces creates an atmosphere that is inviting and genuine. I found myself wandering through quaint streets, absorbing the sights, and scribbling down inspiration for my books.
Every corner of Dunedin tells a story, from its serene parks to the beautiful waterfront. It’s an ideal backdrop for my writing journey, one where I can weave tales that echo the beauty and essence of this town. The idea behind Whispers of the Cove was to capture this very essence and share it with readers who might dream of somewhere magical—somewhere that feels like home.
As I continue to write, I hope to draw more from my experiences in Dunedin. Each day here reinforces my decision to make this move.
